I had been working as a consulting systems engineer earning very good money and had qualified for considerable credit borrowing which I used for investments. Unfortunately, when the economy collapsed in 2008 both my consulting work and my investments collapsed and I was saddled with mortgage, equity loan, and credit card debt of over one million dollars with no way to make the monthly payments. My only recourse was to file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy.

I researched qualifications and reliability of bankruptcy firms and settled on John F. Brady Associates' California Bankruptcy Group.

I am very happy with what they accomplished for me and how they accomplished it. It was a pleasure working with them and the result was a Chapter 7 bankruptcy discharge in reasonable time.

It took only two meeting with the attorney firm. They knew exactly what I needed to do and provided the instructions for filling out the required bankruptcy forms in the first meeting. They were very cooperative in answering my questions by phone as I filled out the forms. They then made sure that I had proved the required information in the bankruptcy forms in the second meeting. They then filed the necessary forms with the United State Bankruptcy Court (Southern District of California) and took care of any furhter interface with the court.

Finally, they made sure I was prepared for the hearing with the bankruptcy court and one of their attorneys supported me at this hearing (which by the way took very little time and went smoothly).

In summary, the California Bankruptcy Group made filing a Chapter 7 bankruptcy a successful and low stress experience.

I wanted to take a moment and tell you thanks for all you and your firm have done for me.  When I came to your office I was at my wits end.  Having been misled by another bankruptcy attorney I was skeptical and worried.  My fears were short lived though thanks to the care you and your staff gave me.  Your knowledge base is exemplary and the staff you have in your employ are the best there is. 

Whenever I was feeling anxious and unsure, Rose, was there to calm me down and patient enough to explain things to me over and over again when I didn't understand.  I appreciate her help so much.  Martin is also a shining star.  He explained everything to me the day of the filing and never missed a beat answering my questions and reassuring me that everything would be taken care of.

Having completed my Chapter 13 plan and receiving my discharge letter from the court, it is an understatement to say that this was probably one of the best decisions I made in my life. I came to John out of curiosity to look for refinance options and eventually became convinced that filing bankrtuptcy was a better move. My plan took four years, and it's been the most peaceful four years of my life. I changed and adapted my lifestyle without using credit and there's no way I would ever return to using credit cards.
